SciPort RLP provides easy and free online access to the Faculties and institutions of Rhineland-Palatinate’s universities, their researchers, research activities and publications. SciPort RLP is an ongoing collaborative project between the universities in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate and the Rhineland-Palatinate Ministry of Economic Affairs, Tourism, Energy and Climate (MWTEK). Academic publications entered into SciPort RLP are automatically forwarded to the library at Worms University of Applied Sciences for review. This ensures a consistently high standard of data quality and enables the publication data to be used in an academic context. The operation and further development of the system are managed by the ZFT.

SciPort RLP enables users to carry out research using easy-to-use search functions:

• which researchers and academic institutions are working on which topics and with whom they are successfully collaborating,
• who might be suitable as a competent academic partner,
• which publications are relevant to the topic in question.

SciPort RLP comprises five core components:

• scientists,
• research institutions,
• research projects,
• bibliographically verified publications, and
• patents.

SciPort RLP offers its members a range of free services and benefits. These include:

• Review of submitted publications
• Import of publications from systems such as Web of Science
• Entries in SciPort RLP replace the need to produce a separate research report
